Once Upon A Time Season 3

Has anyone in Storybrook noticed that the rules of Magic changed in the end of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland?

Or do the rules not change until the Knave shows up?

I thought the rules of magic were only changed for Jafar and the mom? That only the both of them had the power to go outside of the rules. Now that that problem is taken care of, magic should be back to normal....

But the little Wonderland adventure does show everyone that the laws CAN be broken, so Zelena has a chance of changing the past.

The events of And They Lived were taking place concurrently with the events that concluded the second season of Once, so I think it's pretty safe to assume/say that the Laws of Magic were only changed for Jafar.

Sorry if I missed this upthread... but ...

If Zelinda is the Wicked Witch of the West,

and her sister is Regina, I assume that makes her the Wicked Witch of the East.

If so, does that make Emma the Good Witch of the North (Glinda)?

The book was written in 1900.

Time is a little fucked up between worlds, but how would Frank know about Emma?

I was sad to see them kill Neal, I'm a big fan of Micheal Raymond-James so I was happy seeing him in a new regular role.

Hook has certainly changed for the better, and he needn't be ashamed of it. But Zelena found a way to exploit his guilt and enchanted Hook with a spell that could take away Emma's magic with a kiss.

Why is Neal's name still in the opening credits? I didn't see him this episode, and there was no reference to his character.

Good to know Ariel found her happy ending.

I'm really not too fond of the writers choosing to turn Hook into an anti-hero and pushing him towards Emma because I feel like it makes the character dull as heck, but found tonight's episode interesting in spite of myself, largely due to everything in it besides the Hook/Ariel present-day 'Eric hunt'.

With only 5 episodes left in the season, the writers are going to have to eventually 'fire the gun' that they 'hung on the wall' in this episode, and in spite of feeling like a Hook/Emma pairing is not the best of ideas, I can't help but wonder what the ultimate story ramifications of Zelena's 'Cursed Kiss' spell are going to be.

Next week's episode looks really interesting, although I do wish we were getting a guest appearance from Barbara Hershey as well as from Rose McGowan (but that's really neither here nor there).

I know it wouldn't work, but I still would have loved it if Hook kissed Zelena last night just in case his anti-magic smooch worked on her too.

Lets all cross our fingers and hope Hook isn't tricked into kissing Emma by putting her into cardiac arrest and making him give her "mouth to mouth".

Speaking of magic, I loved that bridge Emma built, but did Regina know she succeeded as she fell or did she plan on letting her die? She certainly didn't look like she was trying to stop the fall.

Couldn't he overload Zelina by Kissing Emma, then kissing Regina, and then kissing Gold?

After which she would either become alpowerful, or explode.

That is if the power transfers directly to the wicked witch, and she doesn't have to eat Killian's heart to get all the welled power stored in him.

I think it only works on Emma because that's who he named as his true love.

It was nice seeing Ariel again, although I guess this is the last we'll be seeing of her for a long time, if she ever comes back.

I actually liked the break from the WWOTW, and I was disappointed when it turned out she was impersonating Ariel. I liked the Ursula crest though, I'd forgotten about her.

After the warning Ursula gave Regina earlier in the season I think she has to be the big bad of a future season/half season

I would be interested to see Ursula as a future guest villain, kind of like Zelena is now. Then maybe they'll have Maleficent and all the rest.

She's already been on the show and is dead. Emma killed her in her dragon form at the end of Season One.

I've really enjoyed the way Once has taken both traditional Fairytales AND the 'Disneyfied' versions of said Fairytales AND put their own unique spin on them, so, for me, the show's take on Maleficent was just fine.
