Omnibus Wishlists: DS9 Relaunch and Others.

I would love to see the A Time To show up in an omnibus format, but regarding DS9...I personally would put all the 10th Anniversary Stories together into one omnibus and put The Lives of Dax and A Stitch In Time in with Volume 3 and 4 of Mission Gamma if it even happens. And you could give it some funky title or something in line with the 4 stories...Heroes And Heralds: The 10th Anniversary Collection

But I guess we'll be waiting at least a year or two before this is even seriously contemplated.

GITCorp is doing a DVD-ROM collection of all Trek comics except IDW and the mangas (Gold Key, Marvel 1, DC1 & 2, Malibu, Marvel 2, Wildstorm), which is coming out in October.

Oddly enough, my local comic-book store told me that they would be unable to get this for me.

I wish we could get another omnibus to finish out Mission Gamma. The price for Books 3&4 is high if you want it new or like new.

Found two copies each of Mission Gamma 3 & 4 at regular mmpb pricing in Hollywood. The books though looks like it has been there since they came out.

I wouldn't mind that so much, but I've been to most of the used bookstores (I only know of three others I could go to and one of them has never carried much Trek) in the Houston area and they don't have them. Book three isn't that bad on Amazon last I checked, but book 4 is ridiculously priced. The problem is they are the only books of the DS9 relaunch I'm missing. So I hope they put together an omnibus of book 3 and 4. Before Destiny comes out would be nice but that's probably not very likely.

Especially since the omnibus for Books 1/2 isn't out yet.

Have you tried an interlibrary loan via your public library, then buy your own copy later?

Any local ST clubs you could join, and befriend someone there?

A "Wanted" ad on the community noticeboard of a local bookshop?

Asking someone here to PM you if they see them in a shop?

It just goes to show I've gotten to used to buying my own books. The thought of going to a library for them hadn't even occured to me. So I guess I know what I'll be doing now.

My library has all the books but the thought of people reading on the toilet always prevents me from checking them out.

I'm a librarian. ;)

I wasn't when I joined ST fandom in 1980, but whenever we did a statistics check on our membership in those early days, librarians were very well represented. (Which is why I'm often bewildered when ST fans say that their local library staffmembers are not open to taking up science fiction and SF media tie-in requests.)

British libraries are crap.
