Some of you may know, about ten years ago i stopped working outside the home (due to physical and mental issues) and started devoting myself to selling things on eBay as a way of making money. I've had all kinds of interesting things for sale, have made lots of great friends and have heard all kinds of interesting stories from my buyers.

Well about a month or so ago i sold a wooden box. It was quite beautiful and old. Hand carved and very interesting.

My winning bidder told me he was the props buyer for the "Underworld" movies and that this box was in the running to be used as the box one of the characters (Olivia?) was going to store her throwing stars in.

Well, a few minutes ago i received an email from the buyer. He said it looks like they WILL be using my box (no comments from the peanut gallery) in the film!!!! He said he'd try to send me some pictures of it asap with the props in it! I am SO FREAKING PSYCHED!!!!! How cool will this be? I am going to have to see the movies now for sure.

Although this would probably be more suited to go in another forum, i wanted to share this with you guys...since you're the ones i hang with pretty much. Anyway, i'll LYK if i hear anything further from him. w00t!

That's awesome, Yeoman Randi. When the throwing stars are taken out, you can give a solemn, knowing nod and tell the rest of the viewers "I sold her that box, you know".

Melancholy, yes, it was quite old. I bought it at an estate sale. It was actually a last second purchase. I had a pile of stuff in my arms and put everything except this box and a tiny little picture that i fell in love with away. The box has dovetailing, the wood looked very old on the inside...i don't know HOW old it is, but i am pretty sure it's very old.

I'm doing the happy dance right now!!

I'm wondering.....if he does send me photos of the box with the stars or whatever (in his email he indicated that they were trying the box out with the different props and he'd send me pics).....will i be "sworn" to secrecy? OR will i be allowed to share the pics with you? I hope i can!!
