"Omega Glory" Quick Question

As someone who doesn't own the DVDs, and hadn't seen this episode probably in close to 30 years (and didn't miss it), I was wondering about the quick reversed reaction shot of William Shatner (that is, his part switched sides). Was that an untouched part of the original episode, a mistake in the revised version, Mirror Kirk coming through again, or was I imagining it? Thanks. {ProfJonathan}

I'm not sure, but I think that they just made a mistake during editing and flipped the negative.

Sometimes they'll flip the negative on purpose because it was shot from the wrong angle and they didn't realize it until it was too late.
