Old TV Schedules

I couldn't sleep last night. I stumbled upon these TV schedules on Wikipedia. Now, I find myself in the market to either buy some of these shows that I missed as a kid or find them on streaming.

Here's the 1987 schedule before the 1988 writer's strike:

You can check out the old schedules and see if anything catches your eye.

One of the shows that jumped out at me that I completely forgot about is Nasty Boys. The commercial for it on YouTube reminds me of SWAT. The other show is Fox's Werewolf. I remember seeing ads for it as a kid, but I never actually watched it.

Amazing that Benjamin Bratt was in Nasty Boys back then having recently seen him again in Poker Face.

Reading the wiki page for Werewolf I'm amused that the titular character was being hunted by Lance Le Gault (presumably on his days off from hunting the A-Team)

Hm. I took a quick look at that schedule and noticed Aaron's Way. That was a good family-friendly show, and it's too bad that it was canceled.

Going through the schedules, I’m finding shows I completely missed. I never saw one episode of 5th Corner. And there are others. Even finding a trailer in YT is challenging for some of the one season shows.

Aww man. 'Frank's Place'. That was a good show that lasted only one season because CBS kept moving it around the schedule, denying the audience a chance to find it.

And remember this really sucked when you programmed your VCR and got the wrong show.
