Old Trek not really that different...

Indeed. Lens flares are eternal. Every episode and movie needs to be redone with massive amounts of lens flare.

I hope they let up on the flare in the next movie.

Can someone please go and take all the batteries out of JJ's flashlights? Please?

If I want flare I'll got to Chotchkies.

Even JJ Abrams says he went overboard on the lens flares. Since he realizes that, I am sure we will have fewer lens flares next time.

Yeah, hi...I'm gonna have to go ahead and approve this joke. :techman: I've been wondering what all this lens flare talk is about. I really didn't notice them when I saw the movie, but now I know what to look out for next time I watch it. Thanks.

Very cool, thanks. I have no idea how you did that, but it did bring a smile to my face.

Just to clarify, I didn't make this, I just found it.

And re lens flares: they never bothered me.

I could have done without the shaky-cam. It didn't make me seasick like it does in some movies, but I don't love it.

That is indeed a classic video in the OP that is a nice summation of everything that is horrendously wrong with Abrams' Trek.

It is a moot point if he tones down the lens flare if he is still going to ruin his movies with shakycam.

Did he renounce shakycam?

If not, the next movie will still be unwatchable regardless of if he tones down the lens flare.
