Old Stuff

I had forgotten how primitive some of my old stuff was. But boy, what a RUSH it was at the time, actually having stuff turn out the way that it did.

All I had to work with was MS Paint, and later a bootleg copy of Paintshop Pro. Vector graphics? Bah! But I admit MS Paint was better suited to manipulating my pencil and pen sketches because drawing new lines in Paint looked all "steppy."

Lately, I've tried to try my hand at them new-fangled 3D programs, but no luck. I can't get past the introduction without me eyes going all cross-wise. Oh, well, I didn't really want to work in 3D anyway. And I think you young whipper-snappers spend too much time on 3D and in pool halls. And BTW, you need to get off my #@#$*&^ lawn!

Those are Great! Yes, I remember those days too, years ago, a borrowed 386 with 4 meg RAM, MS Paint...
And my eyes also glaze over when I try those dammed 3D programs...:)

Nice work. Love the cruise ship.

Ooh, those are neat! Very unique and familiar all at the same time. The top one looks like the Defiant on steroids!

Some nice ideas well executed, not your usual cut and paste nacelle/saucer/hull nonsense so many churn out on Trek boards. A couple are missing though. If they'd been there you would have won the 'widest post in the world' prize as well.

Man, that's cool. I really, really, like that HMS Brittannic. Do you have any other views? I bet it would look awesome in 3D. :)

I love your detail style, and your overall asthetic sense is refreshing.

I look forward to seeing more.

Very nice indeed! Nothing to be ashamed of there.

And yeah, despite 20 years of playing with every 3D program since Sculpt 3D on the Amiga, I'm still not very good with them. And I have to learn 3DS Max for my job now, since my co-artist talked the boss into spending $7k on two copies!

Very nice! Do you have other views?
If those are the old stuff, I would like to see the new stuff too. :)

...I bet it would look awesome in 3D. :)

Well, the best way to find out would be for a master 3D artist to grab it and run with it. So could you give Vektor a buzz and ask him to do it?

(LOL, I'm kidding, I'm a kidder, yada yada yada...)

Nice one. :)

I'm aspiring to be on his level one day... but not quite there yet. I'm still not good at all with organic shapes...

I put your ship in my to do folder, even so. :)
