Hey in the 2009 movie Current TOS Spock meets his younger new Spock yet nothing bad seems to happen with two versions of the same person meeting in the same place.

Why would something bad happen?

I don't remember Trek ever saying you couldn't meet a future/past version of yourself. Remember "Endgame?" Not the best example, I know.

Not even Endgame needs to be referenced. What about "Yesteryear" from TAS or all the Enterprises from "Parallels" among others. I know VOY dabled in quantum duplicates at least once.
