Old record label using Klingon Insignia question

I was randomly checking out music videos on Youpube and found this song. Pretty mundance dance song but the record sleeve caught my eye. It has the Klingon empire symbol on it.

Does anyone know what label it is and if it was used illegally?
I can't imagine Paramount endorsing it unless license and a strong link to Trek

According to this and this, the label is EMI Electrola, out of Germany. No idea about the copyright/trademark issues involved.

Thanks. M'Sharak. Its an odd symbol to use for a dance song. Unless they were trekkies which I guess they must have been. But usually a logo has relevance to the product so peeps can identitfy it.

If the song was half decent I imagine it might become a collectors item just for the Klingon insignia

Well it isn't the Klingon Insignia. I does look very similar and probably was inspired by it, but the real Klingon Insignia has the right arm pointed upwards, not down.

Well, you really haven't heard the Aqualords, until you've heard them in the original Klingon.
