Okay, so will [SPOILER!] be back?

I think he'll either swim back to the island (if he was "moved" with it)
If Jin is alive, he must be with the island or he would have made some attempt to reach Sun.

But he was further away from the island than the copter when it did its vanishing act, so how could he have moved with it if the copter didn't?

Jin was in the water and the helicopter was in the air. Maybe stuff in the water was affected.

There's no way Jin and Michael are dead. Neither of them got close-up deaths. Michael didn't reach the island, and the island won't let him die, it wants him back.

Some people seem to be convinced the "you can go now" means he could die. He was stuck in that room with all the explosives. "You can go now" could just as easily mean "you can leave the room" ... We don't know how much "real" time happened between when he left that room and when it went kablooey ... It's just as easy to see them making it off the ship and then it goes boom, though that doesn't make for dramatic television.

My thoughts exactly (including the 'kablooey').

Furthermore, Jin knew there was a bomb below deck, that could explode at any moment. From what we've seen of Jin, he is hardly dumb enough to stand on a bomb-laden boat, waving, hoping that the pilot will change his mind and come back.

From the look of the FX, a big cirlce of the ocean also vanished and the water surrounding it rushed in to replace it.

After all, and island doesnt start at the shoreline, whats above the sea is like the tip of the iceberg, and remember how the ship couldnt get closer because of the reefs?

The reefs are part of the island too.

Ben killed Keamy, which triggered the explosion on the freighter.
How would she find out about that? Did Desmond see the deadman switch on Keamy?

I think Sun blames Widmore for sure - he sent Keamy, after all, and the mission was to kill not just Jin but all of them. She might blame Ben simply for being the motivating factor.
Agreed. My first thought on seeing that scene was that she was starting to set Widmore up for a fall.

Why are people saying Claire is dead? She just walked off with Christian. There was no killing involved...

Exactly. She's still alive. Why she's hiding out with Christian - whom she said she hated - is a mystery.

Will Jin be back?

He was at the back of the boat... he may have gotten "blown off" into the ocean.

If he found an old refrigerator, he could easily have survived the explosion and been blown onto the island.
It's been done. :p

Jin is alive but barely and is hauled into the zodiac and if the island can prevent Michael from killing himself half way round the world than I see no reason why, if it wanted to, that Jin and the Zodiac riders would not be pulled along with the island to where ever it goes. Perhaps the island has popped back into existence in a northern -- really northern! -- latitude. Create hell for the special effects people but...

Oh, and Michael is dead. the explosion began before he even finished his question to Christian. And Claire has been reunited with her dad. Just because Dad was dead to the world and to Jack doesn't mean Claire is too; she may not even know he was dead before...

Of course we don't really know if Christian is dead.

We know he was before he came to the island, but we also know Locke is dead, and we all expect that to change when he goes back.

The coffin was empty.

You know what lets go with that idea. First I've read of that as an idea that Christian is now alive and well.

What if the island is using Christrian as an avatar??
For whatever reason he stops using Christian, cause we are told you don't die if the island has need of you(Ben), and needs Locke. Needs him as a new avatar??

So...maybe Christian is alive after all (pulling a Spock, I guess). And Claire may or may not be. But she did appear a bit "off" at Jacob's cabin.

I heard that Jin WAS alive and visible in the water? Any screencaps?

Since there's that time delay, if Jin WAS alive and swimming to shore, he could get there, what 31 minutes earlier--which would be before the island moved?

I don't think you need to be physically on the island to go with it, the surrounding waters are probably fine.

I'm pretty sure Jin is still alive.

Remember that in the season one finale the raft was blown up and Sawyer was shot falling into the oceana. The writers are just leaving Jin's fate uncertain just like they did with Sawyer.
