OH NO!!

Forbin

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
This is a resin 1/350 Botany Bay I got in 2009 from one Richard Long. Richard, if you're still out there - here it is! :)

Basically OTB. Weathered all to hell with airbrush and pastels. I added a couple of little glass beads for formation lights, and used Evergreen rod for the radiator masts (if that is, indeed, what they are). The stand is sold by Airfix. Ship's name decal by me - I like it better on the sail than the side.

Amazing work, Forbin. As always. This will look nice next to the 1/350 NCC-1701 when she comes out!

Ahhh a DY-100 model Spiffy :) :techman:

To be honest i was a tad worried when i saw the thread title....

Till i remembered what Chekov says in STII

Oh - in the first and last pics, you can see some bubbles in the resin at the edge of the fuel (cargo?) pod. I decided to call it meteor damage so I wouldn't have to fill them. :D

FWIW, I thought that was an intentional part of your "weathering" effects. Wouldn't have noticed it any further if you hadn't mentioned it.

Now that's a stunning display piece. Very nice work. And I love the idea of meteor damage...a "happy mistake". :-)

This is a very fine creation, Forbin. Your talent is amazing. This will look awesome along side the "in developement" PL 1/350th scale NCC-1701.

My only question: Are you going to actually build the NCC-1701 (when it comes out) as seen on the TV screen or are you going to (planning to) kitbash it? (or the first couple you get your hands on) ;)

Well done as usual.

Is this the same kit?

Great job on the weathering. I can envision it drifting through space, lifeless and forgotten.
