Oh hell..HERCULOIDS

Okay..so THUNDARR is getting his love on this site, and thats cool.

Recently, right before we go to bed, we have been watching Herculoids...this show is...well...but its also kind of cool in its own goofy way. I have to think Berman was a fan of this show since it has not one, but two ODO looking creatures, Gloop and Gleep I think, which morph just as good as Odo ever did....

The plots are, well, pretty interesting, putting it kindly. But it is harmless good fun and, hey, my son like it..and thats the most important part...

One of my favorites as a kid. I always liked Tundro. But his energy rocks never really did much damage.

I don't think he was telekinetic. There was the laser ray dragon, Zok. There was the Rock Ape(Igoo), The Tricerotops thing with a bunch of legs and armor that shot exploding energy rocks from his horn(Tundro), and Gloop and Gleep the amorphous blobs that could change shape. Zandor was the leader. He was a human with a Sling shot that he launched energy rocks from and he had a shield like Captain America that relected lasers and other attacks.

Zok was great because he could fire all sorts of beams like heat beams, energy beams, etc. I suppose he might have tractor beamed something since his powers were sort of versatile, but I just don't recall that. Tundro could extend his legs to lift people up(I mean like dozens of feet) and his head could spin like a drill(like drill cat).

Yeah, Zoc was cool!! Herculoids were a fun romp when I saw them in syndication in the 80s. I never cared for the revival under the Space Stars title in the 80s when they were teamed-up with Space Ghost, etc.

I miss Space Ghost as a scifi character. Now he is just a comedian. There was also that dude that would turn into a comet and he flew around on a rocket bike kinda like a jet ski with some other people on bikes.

People were always landing on their planet...just to get their asses handed to them by some well-groomed cave people and their mutant pets. Zandor was pretty tough for a guy wearing a tiara. Why exactly were there two blobs things?

Parent (Gloop) and child (Gleep), if I remember right. I guess they must divide like amoeba or something.

Hmm... That site does say he shot beams out of his eyes (and tail, lol). I wonder why my childhood memories have him shooting some kind of beam out of his forehead?
