Official New Star Trek 2012 Game for the PC, PS3 & X360

The trailer was pretty meh compared to that E3 trailer that was released earlier. I know they're trying to avoid spoilers, but that makes the whole trailer thing sort of pointless.

So, 2013 for consoles but they never said that PC wasn't going to be released prior to then =o). This game looks phenomenal!

I cannot wait1

Just looks like a good, modern game to me, and the Trek gaming franchise could use that! Give me Uncharted and Tomb Raider with Trek characters and you've got a winner.

I agree, they should be showing the goods like Bioware does on their websites.
To be fair, Bioware got chewed out by their fanbase for revealing too much in their ads, then compensated by cutting down on the plot stuff, resulting in them getting chewed out for focusing too much on the action.

Lol that is great. There is a fine line in this age of listening to your user-base, and catering to them. There really is no pleasing everyone and finding that balance, is tough.

I'm perfectly happy with what they have shown for this game, I get a real sense of the action aspects and hope to be surprised by some decent puzzle solving.

Well, my wife likes the puzzles, and as in any good game, it helps break up the mindless monotony of shooting. They can add something to the story and make the game a bit more cinematic. I'm sure you can find a cheat code to skip them.

I would prefer those things to be optional.
I'm okay with puzzles as long as they aren't those terrible Tower of Hanoi type deals (the Noveria Peak-15 puzzle, for example) or some of those puzzles from ME2 and 3 where you have to move things using a few buttons.

I would say Portal and Tomb Raider like puzzles would be great. Uncharted does some good ones as well, integrated nicely into the story.

Namco Bandai announced the villain race for the game at E3 today.

It's the Gorn.

Also, the official website for the game is up, with new pics, including one of a Gorn. Link

And this is my favorite shot of the game so far:
