Official New Star Trek 2012 Game for the PC, PS3 & X360

Gamestop called and said I could pick the game up Monday night at midnight. I won't be, as I'll just pick it up Tuesday morning but it's nice to know that it seems to be a big enough release to warrant the treatment.

I suspect the midnight launch is actually for Dead Island: Riptide, but they'd let you pick Trek up too.

You're likely right. :techman:

Has anybody heard if we're getting a score released with this game? I know Giacchino is doing the score.

Sitting here thinking about the game...

Seems to be the ideal villain for this game based on the whole "tear in space" storyline would've been the Kelvans from By Any Other Name. No they don't carry the name recognition of the Gorn, but we really know nothing about them other than their very alien when not in humanoid form.

By Any Other Name said:
Spock: Immense beings, a hundred limbs which resemble tentacles. Minds of such control and capacity that each limb is capable of performing a different function.

Still looking forward to a fun romp with the Gorn though! :techman:

Got a chance to play the first level so far. Seems to be a fairly decent game.

Someone just tell me if the corridors actually do carry on around the bridge past where the window and front of the deck is. My nerdiest nerd tingle has been tingling about that ever since I saw the film.:)

Oh, and does engineering look like the brewery or did they build the concept engine room the film couldn't afford?

Who cares is Harrison is Khan or not, this is the important stuff right here!

Have to wait til the end of the day to play the game. My Gamestop said I was smart to preorder because they didn't get many copies of the game. I really can't see any good signs from that. :(

Mine had a whole stack of them when I came in to pick up my pre-order.

Downloading the Amazon pre-order (it's a Steamworks game BTW). Gonna play for a while once it gets done (assuming I don't need to fiddle with Pinnacle too much).
