Of all the people....

Shatner or Nimoy - either would be fine.

I'm very curious about their reactions to the final product.

Orci. I'd love to be able to ask how they decided which parts of canon to adhere to and which to deviate from. Wil Wheaton or Ronald D. Moore would also be fun to talk to about the movie.

Avery Brooks or Dominic Keating. Brooks because Sisko was my favorite character ever and based on the interviews I've seen, he seems pretty cool. Keating for basically the same reasons. Cool character and seems like he would be fun to be around.

I'm amazed no one has said this. Perhaps because he's deceased. But...

I'd also like to see it with Obama. ;)

In another thread I asked who would be seeing the new movie with; wife/parent/friend ect....

Now...here is a twist. Of all the people connected with Star Trek, which one of them would you want to see it with. And one only. Shatner? Abrams? Berman? ect...Because after the movie you would get to discuss what you liked and didn't like about it.

Rob
Well, since "none of the above" is almost certainly going to be the REAL answer, I'm going to give one that's no less likely than any other answer.

I'd personally love to watch it with Gene Coon. And get his personal take on what parts of the movie fit with his perspective on the show and which parts didn't.

A close second would be Matt Jefferies... for much the same reason (though focusing on a different area). Maybe Wah Chang, too.

Heck, ANYONE who was substantially involved in the creation and direction of the original show (meaning, not an ACTOR, but someone who was an ongoing part of the "behind the scenes" side of the show).

Dorothy Fontana. I'd love to know what the last surviving major TOS-era Trek writer thinks of the film.

GR as much as I love him as Treks creator, doesn't seem like the
kind of person I'd want to chill with.

Obama however would rock.

Abrams. No doubt.

He's the Director and the one with the vision. He takes whatever
the words are on the page and turns them into visual art.

I've seen his interviews and he is extremely intellectual.
I'd love to be able to chat with him about the film after sitting
through it with him.

Those who suggested RDM had a very good idea. :)

I would also add...Andrew J. Robinson. Yes, I know he wasn't involved with TOS, but we've seen evidence that he has a very creative mind and he's someone I think I could really discuss the ins and outs of the story with, nitpick problems, and brainstorm solutions.

I'd like to see it with The Okuda's and Rick Sternback together, but I'd probably be spending most of the movie watching their faces, so it would have to be my third or fourth viewing.

Also, afterward, I'd like to go to the closest bar and just talk about All Thing's Trek and anything else that comes up during the conversation, for the next four or five hours! (or till the sun rises!)
