Odo's time as a solid

I personally think Odo didn't get to spend enough time as a solid. I think it should have lasted at least a year, if not longer

Solid as in humanoid form? When he met one of the other 100 changelings, can't remember his name, the changeling commented on how long it had been since he had shape-shifted. But he did link with the female changeling and the male one. Showing the latter how to do it.

I am rather rusty on DS9. I recently watched most of seasons 4, 6, and 7. I must watch season 5 and bone up on some Odo.

Personally, I thought he was a solid just long enough so that it was interesting, and not so long that it got tedious.

Watching them in a row on DVD might make it seem like it wasn't for very long, but back when we were watching it on TV, Odo was a solid for seven months.

Good point.

I was always surprised at how well he coped. I would have expected him to be a bit more of a head case.

Your probably right, I watched them back to back on iTunes. I just don't think he was given enough time to gain perspective.

I know what you mean, it's like here's this HUGE story, and it's over in what seems like a few episodes, as Tosk wrote though, it's probably due to the fact we're not watching one episode a week, and getting through it much quicker. It could have got very dull after a whole season.
