Odd case of amnesia

Here's a story of a guy who wandered out of Discovery Park in Seattle with no idea who he is. He has since been identified as Edward Lighthart a well-educated English teacher who has traveled the world. He had no idea how he came to be in the park (he's not from Seattle) or what happened to him. There is no sign of injury, either. The article doesn't mention any possible case for his memory loss.

So what do you think happened to him? A botched CIA experiment? A brain tumor? A minor head injury that didn't leave any marks, but severed some critical neural pathway? Drugs? Alien abduction?

Maybe he was doing drugs when an alien ship landed, and the aliens brought him aboard, where a joint alien/C.I.A. team experimented on him, but he fell off the operating table and hit his head, so they dumped him.

Actually, he could have an underlying dissociative disorder stemming from some unknown childhood trauma and that defensive mechanism was somehow triggered.
