I'm not suggesting that this choice is in anyway a sensible idea, but presumably the reality show would feature her kids - so I'm not going to fault her for not allowing that.

I still think whatever doctor gave her the fertility treatments so she could have this many kids in one shot was negligent. Fertility treatment isn't a medical necessity and if a doctor looks at you and realizes you have no possible way to financially provide for any potential children, they should refuse to do it.

I really hope that Nadya Suleman choose to do this on her own terms, but I remember an article I read back before Christmas that makes me feel a bit grim.

IIRC, Steve Hirsch was trying to do a deal with her mortgage providers who were going to foreclose on her house. He wanted to use the mortgage as leverage to "start a conversation" about getting Suleman to do adult videos. This despite acknowledging that she'd already repeatedly turned down offers of up to $1m from him to get her to do porn. (Link)

Forget financially, it's actually incredibly risky for her. A doctor definitely would have known that and I think he's said he regrets doing it but I haven't really followed up on any possible consequences.

There is also that. Don't doctors typically recommend selective abortion in cases like this? Not that they can force the patient to undergo it, but it's fucked up how some people seem to want to carry such large multiples to term just for the sake of publicity.
