October Challenge -- Vote!

Apologies, you can find it here.

The voting was intended to begin at midnight. Evidently I must have misread it. :(

I believe you have to save it as a word document. I'm not sure, maybe he can enlighten us.

Hmm, well got it open in wordpad at least. I feel it's worth mentioning that it isn't soley his story, he is merely the co author (which might mean he's just put it on his site!)

Ah. Well, much apologies to the co-author. hellsgate, in the future if there is another contributor please name him in your introductory post in the future. :)

Again, apologies for the various errors, I'm new at this poll business.

I'm not getting the option to vote - have I missed the voting window?

Well, anyway, my vote would have gone to camelopard, just so you know :)

Dang, I knew I should have figured out how to put Seven of Nine into my story...all the drooling Jeri Ryan fans out there.

No way to compete with that....especially not in Technicolor by Desilu

Gah, why didn't I think of that first....

Seriusly though...reading through both stories after a bit of a break..it's easy to see that mine was a bit high on the cheese factor...and I mean as in cheesy. I had intended as much, but I think Camelopard did better with straightlining a Trek story while still including the cliches..

It was still fun seeing if I could break Spock's eyebrow..

Yes, the voting window is closed. It was originally intended to be twelve hours longer, but it still would have ended at the same time... though, as it stands, Dulak and Camelopard are tied. Jamee999, who would you have voted for?

I even put her in a swimsuit. ;)

Thanks!

Spock is deceptively difficult to write, isn't he? At least, that's what I've found. I find it much easier to get inside Tuvok's head, for some reason. A less complex character, I guess.

Are there any procedures and/or precedents about tiebreaking?

Should I have another poll or something?

It's your challenge. In my experience, the rules of these challenges are mostly unwritten, and it's up to the challenger to decide these things.

So, you could hold another poll, or cast the deciding vote yourself, or whatever. It's up to you.

Alright.

Well, in that case, I'm noting that trampledamage said he would have voted for Camelopard if given the time. Unless someone wants to step forward and claim the same thing for Dulak, I pronounce Camelopard the winner.
