Contest: ENTER October Challenge: October is Twisted Month

What's that presence you just felt in the dimly lit corridor? Why do vessels keep disappearing in that certain part of space? Where did that special friend go when he told you that "the Academy had a different course in mind for him"?

What if Roddenberry didn't invent Star Trek, with all its optimism, but Lovecraft instead? What if Voyager was primarily penned by Stephen King? What if Starfleet was inspired by 1984?

This flash contest will let those, who dare, explore the dark and twisted parts of the Star Trek universe. Or is this the Horrorverse alternate reality? You decide. Let us shiver, let us scream, give us something that will wake us from our dream. Give us a reason to be afraid of the infinite dark of space!

There are almost no rules this time. If you horror up an existing design you had lying around, that's fine by me. Existing horrorfied design are not allowed, however! Deadline is October 31st!

I'm not a Tom Clancy fan. Dad was. He used to read them like crazy when I was a kid.

But I'm pretty sure a few of them were a dark take on the cold war, more gritty than most. I'll look into it and see if it can fit to a Trek episode title.

I also have some sketches reminiscent of @Atolm 's Demonic Enterprise but nowhere near as good, and based on a deep sea angler fish. I'm hoping I'll have time to come up with a finished image by the end of the month.

The mentioning of those people in my opening post only was to give the participants an idea of where to take this. I'd be perfectly happy with that Haunting of Deck 12 image. Although I kinda want to see more frightened people I think... Star Trek Scream Queens yolo ^_^

- Heh! Thank you, but yeah, it's a bit campy, isn't it? I didn't really give it much thought, and only posted it to see if I could (I haven't posted any images before and just wanted to give it a try).
