Obsession

I watched the TOS episode Obsession today on Netflix. It is a great take on Moby Dick and a decent all around show. I was dissappointed because for some reason Netflix does not run the CGI enhanced version. I notice Amazon prime does not run the new HD enhanced effects either? Does anyone know why the updated episode is unavaliable to stream?

That seems really strange. I am a Netflix subscriber and just watched Where No Man Has Gone Before on Saturday on my tablet. It was the remastered edition with the CGI effects.

^Thanks for the reply. I'll look again, as I did find it strange that it was the older version. All the other episodes were the new CGI ones.

I've seen Obsession with the new CGI on my Netflix -rather strange that you would have gotten the old version...

This one is a favorite of mine, although it does echo The Doomsday Machine fairly closely (maybe that's why I like it - TDM is my favorite episode) Has anyone else noticed that for most of the episode, it sounds like Shatner has a really bad cold? You can particularly hear it in the scene in Kirk's quarters before Spock and McCoy formally demand an explanation. "Don't you understand?" Later on also, "I had you in mind, Mr. Garrovick." He really sounds congested.

^I'm guesing Shatner had a cold in real life during filming?

I agree TDM is a great episode (top two,) not sure if it's my fav though. I am a big Journey to Babel fan:bolian:
