Spoilers 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' series [Spoiler Discussion]

Reva was also cut off by Vader before she could finish what she was saying about the Grand Inquisitor. No one in the episode explicitly says he's dead either.

I think they're trying to have their cake and eat it too. Kill off the character for the drama without actually killing off the character. Those who are watching the show and know nothing about Rebels and the GI's appearances in there won't know any different. Then if he shows up again later in the season it will be a surprise for those people as well.

Although Reva is trying to play it off that Obi-Wan stabbed him, the GI being alive would kinda ruin that deception. Unless she's hoping she can kill/capture Obi-Wan before the GI can recover and tell the truth.

Sounds about right. I never thought the Inquisitor was dead. Just out of the way.
My guess is that right now he’s alive but unconscious.
Just like Gerald Ford.*

*bonus internet points for those who recognize that reference.

Vader ordered a Stormtrooper to bring Kenobi to him right before Indira Varma ignited the flames again (the stormtrooper then says "there's no way to get to him!" even though they could just walk round.) So if he did let Kenobi go he only decided to do so after that.

Vader also could've sliced his way through the blast doors on the Death Star and taken Luke and the others before they escaped on the Falcon. Or he could've caught Luke while he leaped to his death on Bespin like Obi-Wan did with Leia in Part 2. At this point I think Vader just tends to be melodramatic when faced with easy-to-overcome obstacles.

Honestly the worst part about this duel was the shower of sparks whenever Vader and Kenobi's sabers came into contact. Like when did that become a thing?
I just rewatched Scene 38 and they had sparks. Maybe they took some inspiration there.

The flashback scenes in 'The Last Jedi' where Luke and Ben clash sabers has sparks, so if they're inspired by anything, it's Rian Johnson's masterpiece.

he needed the Falcon to escape to find the rebel base.

assuming you can force-pull a force user who doesn’t want to be force-pulled.

As others have pointed out, the injuries done to Maul and Vader, who both survived, were far more serious than a saber-thrust straight through the gut. For that matter, Boba Fett survived being swallowed by the Sarlaac as well, so I'm thinking all the Grand Inquisitor really needs is a length dunk in the bacta tank.

While I can understand it not causing him to regrow limbs, it is interesting that the bacta tank doesn't seem capable of repairing Anakin's burns.

Bacta has it's limits. Boba's were chemical burns, with some extra UV damage from being out in the sun too much. That's mostly cosmetic, with possibly some lung damage.
Vader got set on fire from close proximity to molten lava. That stuff can be anywhere from 800 to 1200°C. He wasn't just burned, he was cooked. His epidermis was all but vaporised, his muscle tissue and organs would have been literally cooked. Honestly it's a miracle he still has his original eyeballs. Like Maul, Vader only lived though sheer force of will and rage. Drawing on the dark side constantly just to hold onto life by the fingernails (ironic considering he lost those too.)
It comes at a price though; as we saw in RotJ, by the end under that mask was the face of a 80 year old man. All the bacta is really doing is essentially jogging on the spot AT BEST, nevermind actually undoing any of the damage. At worst it's only slowing the rate of his advanced aging.

I am truly loving this series. Almost as much as The Mandalorian. And I want to see more shows with Leia. She will have an interesting life, especially once she starts becoming involved with the rebellion. Luke would be leading a boring life, having womp rat shooting contests.

Regarding bacta and Vader. The emperor may have left him scarred like that intentionally. Keeps him angry. I think the bacta could have healed him better. But of course, it probably wasn't something Lucas et al thought about with the original films.

I think Grand Inquisitor is dead. In IMDb, Rupert was originally credited for all 6 eps. Now after last ep, that has dropped to 5. If he's not in the next, it will probably drop to 4.

Things I love, Ewen as Obi and Blair as Leia. Both are awesome. Leia asking if Ben was her father was an emotional scene. My favorite part of that episode. I love the new characters, Tala, Reva, Haja.

I am thinking that Obi won't be having another Vader encounter. Could be wrong but I think he, with the assistance of his new friends will take out the Inquisitors. That will be the damage they do to Vader.

I think that those two other inquisitors were in rebels, so they should survive. But well, the same applies to the GI of course.
