Ewan wants it to happen, but with the writers' and then actors' strikes and the sausage-making process at Lucasfilm and Disney anything is possible at this point.

I'd rather they not force another season just for content. The great thing about Obi-Wan's current situation is we can jump back in after a few years when they have another story in mind. He's not going anywhere. (Granted, that's assuming Ewan McGregor remains healthy and interested.)

There isn't very much in the way of story begging to be told there. I suppose he could fight Darth Krayt...
I wouldn't be opposed to another series of Obi-Wan but they'd have to come up with another reason for him to abandon his vigil on Tatooine. The thing that springs to mind is his mention of a brother, I wouldn't want Leia being kidnapped again.

About another series about Obi-Wan.
It's a long time between 'Revenge of the Sith' and 'A New Hope', he could have been up to something interesting.
Before this series we didn't know much if anything what happened with Kenobi between those movies.
Like Owen Lars described, Kenobi is just some loner on the desert.
If Ewan wants to do more, go ahead.
Could it be interesting if Liam Neeson came back (as a force ghost) and then.... something interesting happens.
At least Qui-Gon needs to tell Obi-Wan how to appear as a force ghost since he apparently figured it out.

Go watch Lord of the Rings. They are Tree people from that series. Looks like this! Kirk55555 made a comment about Obi-Wan being hunted by a block of wood with a lightsaber and I made a nerd joke.
That landed flatter than a flat cat! And here's a link for that reference since they are flying very far over people's heads.
