Obama wants a white house screening?

If Obama is a Star Trek fan who reveres Abraham Lincoln, then I wonder what he thinks about The Savage Curtain. ;)

his favorite episode? :p

Now THAT would be an idea for a Star Trek XII: A Remake of The Savage Curtain, just with the sitting president playing himself as a 23rd century impersonation brought into being by a speaking rock called Yarnek! :)
Starfleet creates the ECH - Emergency Charisma Hologram - a reproduction of Obama to be used to inspire the crew during crises. He gets used so much that he develops self-awareness and takes over when the captain dies. Oh, and there's a holographic secret service agent too. ;)

IIRC, Obama's from Chicago, so all I want to know from him is this: White Sox or Cubs? ;)

He's from the south side, so definitely a Sox fan. I used to live about 4 blocks from US Cellular Field, so we talked Sox when I met him last fall. :techman:

Is it always like that in cities with more than one major league team? Meaning, your choice of team is likely to be dictated by what part of the city you're from? Or is that a Chicago thing?

I don't have a lot of experience with the New York, LA, or Baltimore-DC fans.

In Chicago, it's an economic issue as much as geography. The Cubs being much more popular in the wealthy north side and northern subarbs, whilst the south is much more working class.

Well, hey. Obama saw Squiggy's ass after the rest of us, so I think by simple precedence that he should wait until we've all seen the movie before he can see it himself.

It's only fair.

Ok, two questions...

one, do you think he'd go for it?
two, if he did, would this be the first time a sitting president acted in a film beyond "appropriated" stock footage?

^ If they can't get the real president to do a cameo, they could always call Tim Russ...he would make a perfect Obama.
