Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul

If you can find it, get the 22-minute long Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble remix of "Falling Down." That's some groovy shit, man. ;)

Went to see them on June 4th in Manchester Heaton Park, the opening night of their tour.
Best gig I've ever been to, bar none. Just fucking immense.

Oh yeah, love every song on Dig Out Your Soul now, probably my third favourite Oasis album

^ My friend went to see them at the Eden Project a few weeks back. She said they were absolutely amazing, which I can well believe, even not being a particular fan myself.

Nobody can deny the strength of some of their more anthemic numbers, and I defy anybody not to sing along to Don't Look Back in Anger or Wonderwall.

Apologies for zombie-fying the thread, but I just remembered that this thread existed.

I pretty much passed on the album - just forgot to check it out - but an anime series recently used "Falling Down" as the opening music theme song:

And they released a longer version of the opening with the full song here:

I guess it's going to be like "Half the World Away", where I associate the Oasis song with a TV show more than for the song itself. But anyway, I love the song.

Ditto. Love the song and the show, as you've probabally seen by my latest avy. :)

Hee, yeah. I actually really like the extended opening as well. It's flashy and full of subtext. :)

I can deny it! :p:lol:

Oasis get a big fat "MEH" from me I'm afraid. And for some reason they seem to think they're still relevant, despite the fact that their sound has remained the same since the mid-90s. There's no progression at all, as far as I can tell!

Now Pulp, they're a great Britpop band. ;)

I discovered a Liam track I'd not heard before recently, "The Boy with the Blues" and it's a big hit with me. Although I'm very pissed that I had to hunt high & low to finally hear it. This track should've made it onto the album, imo.
