any place that might require transporting. He
had such a deep dislike for transporters
that he once duped a young Ensign
fresh out of the Academy into stepping
onto a transporter platform when it was
in the process of buffer cycling. The
poor fellow didn't have a chance. Before
he knew it he'd been dematerialized into
a potato salad, which McCoy promptly ate.
It was the most unusual potato salad
in that it had crunchy bits of
organic material in each bite and didn't
seem to actually have any potatos in
it. When senior officers discovered what happened
after nobody could find any pepper grinders
on the shelves in the galley they
started to plot.
