noticed that it now had a very
well manicured claws and a small ribbon
candy attached to the top of its
snout. Teasing targs this way was considered
a sport on the Klingon Homeworld and
worked better than peanut butter. Squirming targs
could be easily subdued by having them
gnaw on whatever it could find. Ankles
were regularly bitten and mangled so badly
and you never placed anything ground level
within reach of anybody who could grab
you with their teeth. Strong repellent spray
was of limited use for keeping any
Klingon animal at bay. They were notorious
for continuing to bite even after they
liberally inhaled the noxious fumes. It was
overwhelming to their central nervous systems and
awoke senses that were dulled by years
of living alongside Klingons who didn't bathe.
