Can you see NuKirk falling for Edith Keeler? Would she be the one who touched his literate, passionately intelligent inner man?

I could picture NuKirk falling for an activist.. maybe from more recent times.. imagine he ends up with an Evie Keeler from the 60's protesting war and environmental issues. I have to twist the story like this because as it stands now I cannot imagine NuKirk being attracted to/falling for the original Edith Keeler. She's a little too proper and self contained.

This is why I love the Nuverse so much, it often sheds new light on the prime characters in ways I never thought of before.

But as interesting as it is I'd rather they not rehash that story. Let's see this Kirk 'grow up' with someone new.

60's? You only have to go back a few years to have an anti-war activist. Say 2003 - 2008. How about combining ST4 with City On the edge. You have a Whale Wars activist. Just kidding of course.

I was joking too, but there is a reason for the "myth" of Kirk getting it on with the "space babes" and being a ladies man. . . he had more than his fair share of "romance of the week". . . and it was a pretty smart move on the writers part to acknowledge that trope in ST09, since most fans would expect it in some way shape or form. . .

your "joke" falls flat because "Hello ladies" and "Hi" are not actually hitting on anyone and we don't see him actually "cheating" on anyone. . . he's a flirt. . . there's a difference. . .

Are you saying that he wouldn't have bedded Uhura if he had the chance? About the only woman with any lines we saw him with that he didn't hit on was his mother, and he was minutes old.

I did toy with the idea that Evie Keeler was a member of Greenpeace but I just couldn't choke that one down.
