NPR in pop culture? NEED YOUR HELP!

I have been tasked with finding references - in particular video - that mention NPR (National Public Radio) or its programs in pop culture... things like Simpsons or Family Guy or Robot Chicken, live-action sitcoms... anywhere that NPR is talked about, particularly humorous references... and for the life of me I can't think of anything, so I have decided to mine your brains. Can anyone help by pointing me to such references?

Thanks in advance!

Dale

I'm pretty sure that there have been some jokey references to This American Life... but I can't remember where I heard them.

I do remember seeing a Simpsons episode in which Lisa was listening to NPR and the network was being parodied, but I don't recall the specifics. Googling turns up a reference to NPR host Terry Gross playing herself in the Simpsons episode "The Debarted" in March '08, but I'm not sure that's the same episode I'm remembering.

In the fourth episode "Arcade" of Newsradio season 3, Lisa (Maura Tierney) is afraid she's getting dumber. She mentions that she used to understand NPR but now she finds it boring. Dave (Dave Nelson) asks, "Isn't that what's supposed to happen?"

NOTE: I'm paraphrasing but you get the general idea. The episode has a good Trek reference in it too!

On SNL in the late 90s there was a recurring sketch that a couple of the women did, in which they were hosts of a radio talk show. It was clearly an NPR-style program, though I'm not sure OTTOMH if they directly referenced NPR. Probably the most famous of these sketches is the one in which Alec Baldwin is selling his "Schweaty Balls", which gets played every year near Christmas.

EDIT: The fake show was called "The Delicious Dish", they did directly reference NPR.

This is the best video I could find, though the beginning with the NPR reference is cut out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azddGazTvv0

Thanks everyone. I have forwarded the appropriate mentions to the producer who was looking for them.

Mods, feel free to close if you like.
