Now that XI has proven to be a hit...

^From what I've gathered, Lucas doesn't devote any personal attention to the tie-in books at all. There are people working for his humongous corporation who handle that.

True enough...I was responding to what KRAD said about how studios and companies were going apeshit about the net and "leaks"...LucasArts doesn't.

Unless you're George Lucas, who knows how to work the Net to his advantage. Some how HE manages to get all the tie-in books done...

Their "Making off..." books are all done in-house, aren't they? And the deeper ones aren't out the week of the movie's premiere.

And there was an early interview where JJ's people said they were looking forward to working on a "Making off..." book.

Del Rey does the main line of Star Wars nonfiction books, though I think they use the "Lucas Books" imprint for them. The making of book for Episode III was out a month before the film, though.

For obvious reasons, Lucas probably doesn't worry about people knowing how his stories end.
