November Challenge-Redemption

^Because if it contains spoilers and we haven't read the book yet, we can't read it unless we want spoilers.
I'm in the same situation as Thor Damar :(

^Ah. Very good. :)

(I was beginning to get worried. I get a lot of views, and no reviews! I'm relieved it's for that reason....)

Kazarl: I've reconsidered. If I indeed can finish my story I'd like to participate. Sorry for being a pain and going back an fourth but I never though I would be able to get it together, but now, my former english went through it and gave pretty positive feedback. figured I give the challenge a go. Hopefully i'm gonna be able to finish it. Got a CAE project, a story for my school's newspaper, the Dax story and now this. Stressful to say the least. :)

Thats great news Ares, but no pressure. As for going back and forth, hey, I do it too. There have been several months where I did the same thing.

Thing is, I'm not usually like this, you know. I decide on something and do it, for better or for worse. But the last two months have been an emotional roller-coaster for me, and i feel like the only way i'm gonna get myself together is if i put my foot down and actually accomplish something...

Well, I can't say I recall you around here before, which I apologize for if you're a regular, but one thing I've noticed is writing often doesn't work that way.

Deciding to do it, then doing it is only part of it, at least in my own experience. My characters often take on a life of their own, so I've learned to just let it flow as they see fit. Problem is, some of my stories end up taking a great deal of time to write. Add to that anything going on in real life that might get in the way, and it takes even longer. But, I find that when I do let the story run its course, instead of forcing it, I'm much more satisfied with the results.

I guess what I'm saying is if you don't finish by the end of the month, don't feel bad about it. Let it flow on it's own, then share it with us, and I think you'll be impressed.

^ Don't worry about it, I'm no regular here, aside from a fanatic reader, that is. I've only recently started writing fanfic in english, but if you happen to speak hungarian, I've written plenty.

And yeah, I see your point. I usually do that as well, but as i said, not really at my best now. On the good side though, its easier to write about a depressed character when you feel similarly.

Good one
Well, i speak plenty, can understand even more, but my major languages are hungarian swedish, english and british (heh:)) *hides*

I have a story ready that could lend itself well to this, but IDK how many words it has, because I never count the words in my stories, lol... I might post it anyway, just for the hell of it, though.

Mine looks like it might go a bit over 10,000 words. You said you might extend it. Are you doing so, or shall I try my hardest to stay under 10,000?

Well, if you go a little bit over, say a couple hundred words or so, I might look the other way. But try to keep it as close to 10k as you can. With how some of the writers here work we'd end up with 200,000+ word novels if there wasn't a limit. lol
