Nova Refit

Johnny7oak

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
The unnamed class I've designed... I added the phaser mounts and torpedo launchers... Its sort of like a nova class. Enigma style deflector, but larger... Large shuttle bay on the aft making it a great combo flight wing. I took your Plasma Shunt core and used the Plasma variant. The external firing sequence plasma cores as well.... the plasma should contain, turned off its cold dead core.... draw back is re-initiating the plasma... a Romulan plasma torpedo envelop variety.... High yield quick initiation... from centrical shunt to external housing. (Nova class is a science vessel mainly)

I shrank these down for the purpose of showing... they were I think 2400x2400... I made them in Gimp 13x in Linux (Ubuntu 17.04). I can show you the "dead core" nacelles.. they are just a bluish gray.

I'm not sure I understand all the treknological aspects of this, but I have a more fundamental question: What exactly are we looking at in those pictures? Is this the same ship as a top down view and from below? Or are we seeing two configurations? I ask because I think I see a deflector in both.

In that same vein, why are the lines so blurry? Did you do this on purpose or is this a problem in Gimp?

here is the "dead nacelle".... the deflector is on the bottom side. The top is the lighter side with an aft facing huge hanger bay. The blurry thing is the best I can do with my ability in Linux GIMP free image software. I started with blank canvas and used the air brush utility to paint these in.

The Nova class, like the Intrepid class, seems to have 2 deflectors. One in the standard place, at the front of the secondary hull, and one at the front top of the saucer.

The notched saucer Nova looks to have a larger deflector than the full saucer version on the top of the saucer.

probably looks closer... I've got some work to do, I was doing my best to match the two.... its tough as it is at rotational axis... but I wanted to show features. The deflector is the enigma class deflector style, but larger... that round disk sticks out and employs plasma rings on its post that can emit/receive data. on top of being a communications node. I suppose you could employ a second deflector. maybe its not a nova class refit? Definitely has the look of one. I was experimenting with Enigma class technology.

You can see the deflector here without the normal Enigma shielding(deflectors shield apparatus not engaged), it is not a conventional hydrogen multi-coil nor the cross sectional pie aliasing... it uses a differing arrangement of pin tubing hydrogen that is almost pin-point. Very nice concentrically you have your dual deflector communication node and shielding apparatus. I believe it is retractable for the purpose of additional support. Main compartment behind involves sensory systems, the usually band of electrode is siting behind, thus the pin-points. I was working with laser relay pinpoint reception. to interpretation incoming data, quanta field is a broad spectrum but a concentrated assist can bring data quicker. Quantum technologies make this spectrum broader than red or blue. You will notice the comm node features two rings of hydrogen sensory for additional wide range arc unavailable to an the sleek design. Comm node appears to have additional armaments. Typically deflectors house plasma, these are beaded in like diodes in larger size, working conjointly. Making my observation of the pie deflector of enterprise E obsolete. Which used a different deflector arrangement that had the cross sectioning that was made out of a tempered material with armored backing it basically had a low yield but wide spread of hydrogen feeding it that I would guess was to allow it remove and reapply/repair or at least that feature. You could loose the deflector with minimal hydrogen required, cut the valve and re-equip. I guess?

not as pretty... but the tubbing is larger as best as I can... Its over a panel of deflector plasma cross sectioned... thus color difference. You have the comm node, with the two rings of scanning... and shield employment. Yes thiers is a better picture of beaded work. The deflector is quite large.... and the reason it looks off center is I enhanced it from the angular rotation I had already on the images. SO it is an Enigma Deflector with a back sheet of plasma.... does that count as two deflectors? As mentioned before it has a huge dish for much larger arc.

LEFT: Beneath Tubing, Right: AS pictured above

You notice the two lines on the comm node that allow for additional scanning. The shield arc could be employed.

The green nacelles are an oxi-plasma fire.... you feed it oxygen then the dead core would be extinguished of oxygen... you should have a water bi-product for your plasma nacelle coupling/shunt combo. I am fueling both... and dealing with charges radiated from the columns. The initiaton is much like an enveloping plasma torpedo...

Its just how I can paint. Believe it or not I am starting with a blank canvas in Linux free image creator, "GIMP". I take the spray mixer and pick a color and paint one color, then spray over it... it blends the two colors. they are a little blurry... I have to export the image to png format. I made them very large. here is one that I think is normal size. Let me know if you want to see them large size.

As you can see Its aways kind of a blend of colors....

and we sometimes want mermaids to look a little more different:
