Nothing caused the universe

Is that a picture of Universe 1 after his predate with J. Allen?

God is probably pointless to discuss in this forum, and by "probably" I mean "definitely."

It's a discussion about the origin of the known universe, which is exactly the point where science meets philosophy and religion.

Except science isn't concerned with any answers that are unscientific in nature. "God did it" doesn't tell us anything about what happened and how.

Nevermind that saying 'God did it' is just as unscientific as saying the universe has no cause, since that's just as unprovable. There's no proof that the universe has no cause, and in fact, would be impossible to prove, since you can't prove a negative. Therefore Science must assume there is a cause for the Big Bang and seek to find it. Ultimately, the Universe may truly have no cause (or no cause we puny humans will ever be able to fathom from our position within it), but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to find the answer. After all, we've discovered some nifty things so far with our search for that particular answer

I had no idea you pre-dated the Big Bang.

We went to high school together.

Pre-"dated", yes. But he didn't get lucky.

Ya kenna change the laws o' physics. :(

You'd be surprised how long the excuse "I have a headache" has been around.
