Not Supporting the New Movie.

For those of you who don't like the new movie. What are some ways you are not supporting it?

I'm not going to watch Fake Trek, ever*.

Turning off the TV or changing the channel if a Fake Trek commercial comes on.

Making derogatory comments about the "Trekness" of the show when I see/hear commercial or any mention of the movie.

Not buying any products featuring Fake Trek. today my wife and I went shopping and she wanted a certain cereal. The cereal featured Fake Trek. I told her I wouldn't allow that garbage in my house. I wouldn't let her buy that cereal until she found another box that didn't feature the movie.

It's interesting that people can say I can just stick to whatever Star Trek I want. They say I don't have to include Fake Trek in my own little world of Trek. But I still wind up wading through a lot of crap in my own little Trek world.

*If by reading any commentaries I find out that in the movie they end up reverting back to the real Star Trek timeline and making to this movie "never occured," then I'll watch it.

I'm presuming this is facetious, but even if I actively disliked the film (rather than being mixed, as I am), I would hope that it was still successful to get the Star Trek brand back in fashion and hopefully draw people into the prior shows and movies.

Why place that condition on it? It is possible you could enjoy the movie and the story even if the time line is not restored.

It all depends on your attitude.

I have no problem with your stance towards this movie, but your passive-aggressive attitude about 'making derogatory comments anytime the movie is mentioned' makes me think you are a someone who wants to rob the joy from the lives of others. Rather than trying to tear down someone else's creation and make the world a meaner place, why don't you just ignore it and go and create something you might like, and make the world a more pleasant place?

LOL, this reminds me of the times on TFN when the hardcore fans were determined to boycott SW.

It was way immature then, and it still is.

I never could understand fans that feel the need to boycott a product, that they used to love.

Get over it, and grow up.
