NOT LOUD ENOUGH!

Betohveen. Ode to Joy the finale.

When I heard that I cursed my self for knowing what ode to joy was but never actually listening to it.

What pisses me off now is that I have heard several versions but none of them sounds quite right. The perfect one I found was on Youtube and got removed.

Several ones over the years. Right now it's this:

Heard it in "Shutter Island" yesterday and loved it instantly.

Anything by Rammstein, particularly Links 2 3 4:

^ this is the Rammstein song I play really loud. I think it actually made my upstairs neighbor move.

There's some Trek in there too... ;)

^ And if that one didn't make your neighbor move, this one would:

:D

OK, so i live in a cave and never heard of this Rammstein until someone had mentioned them in the Flaptain's Lounge....but only just heard their music listening to one of the videos above.

I seriously need a tranquilizer now!

Frustrating... as I listened, I kept expecting for the melody to swell and then crash... but I gave up after the 3 minute mark. My ears are left with blue balls... Ah well, to each their own :bolian:

Sometimes, when the mood is right, I play this loud enough in my car that my side view mirrors are shaking.

"See these fans can't resist the rush/ they Wu-Tang for life, scarred for like they can't forget the cuts!"
WHAT?!

^Well I'm afraid we're doomed to disagree since you sampled pretty much the exact kind of music that I do not listen to. Only thing in the genre was some stuff on the Samurai Champloo soundtrack.

But hey, as said, to each his own :techman:

1812 Overture. With cannons.
Cripes, the first time i heard that i nearly shit my pants when the cannons went off. Didn't know they were going to be in there. And i had the music turned WAY up.
You didn't know the 1812 Overture had cannons in it? You mean you had never seen a Quaker Oats commercial?

Speaking of cannons (and keeping in the spirit of the thread)

(OK, it's more of an arrangement/adaptation than a proper canon...)

Yeah, seriously. I HAD seen the commercial but never knew the piece actually had cannons in it until that day when they went off in my living room. I swear, i must have jumped a foot off the ground!

It's a whole lot more fun when you get to *play* the cannon part! I never got to use actual cannons myself, but I've played the part several times on bass drum. Managed to knock the drum off the stand several times, plus caused physical pain to the tubas sitting in front of me! It's also fun if you get to use a baseball bat instead of an actual drum mallet.
