Non-Trek Trek Staff?

This is in reference to my thread in the Future of Trek titled Non-Trek Trek? If the mods feel this belongs elsewhere, of course they should act appropriately.

In a nutshell, who would be interested in creating a "bible" for a science fiction/space opera franchise to be used by fans in making films or series? The idea is to: (1) Provide a showcase for our own writing chops, (2) Provide an original source material for fan filmmakers who feel more comfortable using something established as well as vaguely Trek-ish, (3) Have fun!

This is to some extent in reaction to Paramount/CBS guidelines, as well as perhaps increasing frustration fan may feel about what has become canon in Star Trek. This would be something original, but in the Trek vein, offered to others as a world in which to play and create stories.

Since no one else has responded to your proposal yet, I’d like to do the following suggestion:
I’ve created an original sci-fi series called Enuma Elish. It’s a virtual series (webisode format) that will air next year in May at theVPN.

For those who don’t know theVPN yet, it’s one of the coolest networks for Virtual Entertainment. Be sure to check it out!

For my own show, Enuma Elish, I’m looking for a beta reader who can help me to improve the quality of the scripts. There is also the opportunity, if you're interested, to be part of the writing team for the second season.

I did get a response elsewhere and we've started the very basics of an idea. We have an extremely general timeline we're building from, which my initial collaborator observed we could "slot in" all kinds of space opera stories from Blake's 7 to Forbidden Planet etc.
