Non-Trek Genre (or non-genre) Actors or Actresses you'd like to see *guest star*

USS Triumphant

Vice Admiral
Admiral
What Sci-Fi / Fantasy actors or actresses would you like to see guest star in the new series? It would help if we knew who any of the regular cast was, so we'd know if they had any obvious connections (like Scott Bakula being a regular on Ent probably played a role in Dean Stockwell appearing on the show), but, of course, we don't yet. But still, does anyone immediately come to mind for you, and if so, any particular species or role that you might be thinking of?

I'd like to see Kevin Sorbo appear as the captain of another Starfleet vessel, with as many *subtle* references to his role on Andromeda as they dare to include.

Any of the big three from Star Wars (Fisher, Ford, or Hamill) appearing as an admiral would be kind of neat.

And I wouldn't mind seeing Darren Criss, Dianna Agron, Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, Chord Overstreet, or Chris Colfer from "Glee" pick up a regular or recurring role, or just a single guest shot. I liked them, even if I was fairly disgusted with the show itself by the end, and Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist have both shown that at least some of the Glee actors have the potential to move well out of the show's shadow if given the opportunity.

- Nick Offerman - maybe as some kind of instructor, or one of the character's father? Or, ooh, better yet, the curmudgeonly bartender with a penchant for fine whisky!
- Rob Lowe - a smarmy scientist of some kind?
- Martin Sheen - admiral type
- Steven Yeun

Tenacitys comment mad me think of Buffy cast who could do with work, and Nick even comes with a twin brother for transporter duplicate episodes. So Nicholas Brendon, if he's up to it.
I wouldn't mind seeing some more Asian Romulan like good old Caitlin Dar, but the best known Asian actresses are spoken for by other shows mostly. Though I thought there was a rumour Ming Na was coming to DSC too? Guest shots are possible of course.
Ah....Sean Pertwee is doing well over there, he has the right presence for a Trek guest star even if he's stuck on Gotham.
NCIS people would be really good...it's the most Next Gen like show on TV sometimes.
The Dark Matter people are likely to be nearby for shooting, (hey they can go all out and partner with SyFy for terrestrial showings a year or two after streaming, and have the Rasa just dimension hop over...this is a terrible idea but funny.) and I would place good money on seeing extended cast from that show turning up.
Stephanie Leónidas isn't doing anything now Defiance is over, and is really really good with probably the most experience of acting with FX of any actress going right now. In fact, most of that cast was pretty good too.
I'll be honest actually....the DSC cast has to live up to these shows as much as previous Trek shows, and they have all had pretty good actors.

Let's see. From contemporary shows, I'd like to see Tom Mison, Karen David, Emily Kinney, Steven Yeun, Colman, Domingo, Jill Marie Jones, Clark Gregg, Felicia Day, Peter Dinklage, and, of course, Gina Torres. I won't say Nicole Beharie, because I'm still hoping for her as Number One. :D

Screw that guys. If you're gonna dream, dream big. I wanna see Al Pacino chew the scenery as a driven starship captain.

Well, Hayley Atwell is available again.

And how cool would it be to finally see Lucy Lawless on a TREK show . .?

I've said that Andre Braugher's performance as Captain Holt is a master class on playing a Vulcan.

I've also said I'd like Wanda Sykes to play a future Doctor on Doctor Who, so if that never happens, I'd love for her to get on Star Trek.

Ki Hong Lee would be good.

Maybe Boris Kodjoe? Aziz Ansari?

CGI Boris Karloff as Commander Starfleet. And CGI Bela Lugosi as the Romulan Praetor.

Keir Dullea as a senior Admiral or alien dude would make all kinds of sense
