nominate characters for Marvel movies!

That'd be interesting. I was looking forward to JMS's penned Silver Surfer movie that was abandoned by Fox. That was one of the few things that the FF sequel nailed.

Deathlok! With a cool futuristic, apocolyptic setting!! Deathlok could be lots of fun!

The Vision, hell yeah! Hopefully, he'll be upcoming soon in The Avengers sequel.

Yeah, a film about Mar-Vell would be cool, but it has to have Rick Jones and the Nega-bands. Therefore, Rick Jones is himself essential.

Coincidentally, I was thinking the other day about the Inhumans. Ask and we shall receive?

Valkyrie needs to get onscreen.

Doctor Strange sounds great.

yeah, i was disappointing it never got made. one good Silver Surfer movie would have made up for two bad FF movies.

I'd like to see more Cap/Hawkeye/Black Widow level costumed heroes and villains such as Falcon, Mockingbird, Nomad (although his thunder may be stolen by Winter Soldier), Free Spirit (costume was funky - power of feminisation origin can do without), Diamondback and the Serpent Society and/or the Skeleton Crew (with cool rather than cheesey costumes), Demolition Man, and the Vamp.

I want a rebooted Fantastic Four and Daredevil and a Prince Namor movie. Odds are I'll go and see pretty much any Marvel comic adaptation, so the more of their characters they put onscreen, the better.

Other than the ones in active development (Doctor Strange), what Marvel characters need to be introduced and/or have their own movies in the expanded Marvel universe, either new or rebooted? (Meaning, anyone you nominate with an existing, ongoing franchise is going to get a reboot.)

When I get the nominees, I'll do a poll.

List of Marvel-based movies (with studios noted) - you can nominate any for a reboot if you so desire.

My list:
Fantastic Four (reboot from FOX version and bring them into the expanded Marvel universe)
X-Men (reboot from FOX version and bring them into the expanded Marvel universe)
The Inhumans (new)
The Sub-Mariner
(new)
Warlock (haw, fat chance! but this poll isn't about the likelihood of anything happening for real)
Captain Marvel (new)
Kree & Skrulls (new)

Spider-Man is gonna need a re-reboot to return to Tobey Maguire, but I'm not sure how to handle this situation in the poll so I'll ignore it. :D

Fantastic Four is the most appealing reboot opportunity to me. There's just so much potential for that franchise to be as good as "Captain America" and "X-Men: FC."

Punisher? That character has gone through so many bad adaptions I'm not really sure I want to risk another one.

and i'm agreeing. it could be so much better than that other fly-by-night vigilante with an identity crisis. i mean, come on, he's rocking a white costume, he's got Moon God powers and better yet, unlike the Caped Knight, MK is full-on multiple-personality suffering nutjob. how he copes as Steve Grant, Moon Knight and Marc Spector should be awesome sauce for whatever actor plays him. and get Bendis to write it.

EGO, THE LIVING PLANET!!
Just because I wanna see a bunch of astronauts try to start a colony on him and get killed. A great potential Sci-fi horror movie!

The Dazzler!
'Cause I wanna see a modernized version that sings power ballads and uses rollerblades instead of plain old skates.

The Invisible Woman
In her own movie. If they insist on screwing up my favorite team - The FF - in movies over and over again, I'd prefer they'd just stop and concentrate on the hot one.

I really want to see Punisher as a Spider-Man villain - the ultimate older cynic versus the ultimate fresh-faced humanist/optimist. Now that Marvel Studios has the rights to him, I suppose that isn't too likely, but he's not proven to be the most lucrative character either, so it might not be the end of the world if Sony rented him for a single flick. Amazing Spider-Man 2, anyone? :bolian:

you know, the Sentry was a good character before Bendis ruined him. the idea of a hero who has mental problems and is 'forgotten' by the public and his fellow heroes would make for an interesting movie.
