Nog an Outcast?

The Ferengi are largely nonviolent, prefer to settle disputes through sustainable and mutually beneficial means, and stick to a code of loyalty.

:guffaw: Loyalty? To who? Certainly not living beings. To latinum, maybe. But nothing else.

Well family for one. Quark might have hated that Nog went to Starfleet but damn if he didn't care about Nog especially during "The Siege". There's also the time when he ya know saved a couple of million lives in "Business at Usual".

Oh and the time he busted Kira and Rom from the cells when the Dominion had control of DS9. Plus telling the resistance that Damar was about to bring down the minefield. He could have just sat at the bar doing nothing.

And the one where *Rom*, of all people, plotted to have Quark killed ("The Nagus").

Remember these Rules of Acquisition:

- "Never allow family to stand in the way of opportunity" (#6)
- "Treat people in your debt like family...exploit them" (#111)

^ Rules which Quark and particularly Rom have ignored on more than one occasion. Both have demonstrated loyalty to family and friends over and above what is profitable to them.
