Noel Gallagher and David Beckham dress as Trekkies for new advert

That kind of fits with Noel actually. It's a 60's pop icon. He would seen Star Trek growing up as kid in the 70's.

David Beckham though? He's already more media whore than football player. So just another ridiculous looking publicity photo for him then...
 
I guess the question is, are they playing off of the popularity of the movie or making fun of Trekkies?

That first picture was a pretty bad photoshop attempt. Looks like he has a broken neck.
 
I am confused...what does Star Trek have to do with Adidas? I thought Adidas made exercise clothing such as running shoes, shorts, ect. Perhaps I am missing the point.
