No Stimulus Package. No Bailouts.

You spout these platitudes with nothing reputable to back any of it. Nice try, but you FAIL, Kool Aid drinker.

I don't think you know what the word platitude means but to answer your challenge here are some surveys and articles:

This here is just an interesting article about bias in the media in general and how all US media is right of center when looked at in the Global perspective: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/blog/media-bias.pdf

This article shows that FOX is the worst of the cable channels but that the others aren't all that great: http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A32631-2005Mar13?language=printer

And this doesn't even take into account the unprosfessional attitudes constantly on display at FOX News.
Nice! Quoting nothing but leftist sources! FAIL AGAIN

Let's Try Some Objective Sources Next Time!

Another thing, I'm not going to argue that the Commentators on Fox aren't mostly conservative but the actual news coverage is not. And that's what I keep seeing in the bullshit you posted, repeated references to commentators and not actual news reporting.

And this is the lie that leftists like yourself keep promoting.

Keep drinking that Kool Aid, though.

I like Cherry, myself.

I noticed that you kept editting your post to add in yet another dig at me. I don't appreciate it and it does little to help your point. Go to TNZ if you want to do that.
I edited my post to avoid calling you names and flaming you so I could at the same time get the point across that you do indeed drink the Kool Aid. Calling you a Kool Aid Drinker would be name calling, suggesting that you drink Kool Aid would not be. I'm sorry I called you a Kool Aid Drinker the first time though.

Well, at least CaptainHawk1 actually attempts to back up his assertions, while still engaging in the kind of dopey knee-jerk conservative slaps at the the other side that would make Sean Hannity proud.

Problem is, the economic studies you cite claiming FDR's New Deal extended the Depression is a dissenting opinion, not embraced by most economists, liberal and conservative.

Let's see, CaptainHawk1, if your conservative representatives in Congress can come up with any other ideas, other than the tired old, "Just cut taxes, that will boost the economy." Yeah, we tried that recently, guess you didn't hear it didn't exactly work!

BTW, this nonsense that Bush isn't a conservative is utter rubbish. He may not have been a fiscal conservative, in that he's handing Obama a historically high deficit, but he's been conservative on many other issues, and his agenda was aided for most of this two terms by a Republican-controlled Congress that was effectively a rubber stamp for his policies, like the old Politburo of the Soviet Union.

Oh, and I know folks like you, CaptainHawk1, like to take potshots at so-called "liberal" news organizations like the NewsHour on PBS, but it just isn't so. The NewsHour is the one news program that can fairly lay claim to FoxNews' slogan, fair and balanced. The study you cite, apparently its methodology has been questioned, so its conclusions aren't correct.

It's going to be a fun four years for liberals like me as we enjoy seeing conservatives sputter impotently as Americans desert their discredited agenda.

I doubt that no matter what Barack Obama does, that the U.S. will go back to the pre President Reagan 70%+ upper tax rates.

Of course, then again, Obama is similar in some ways to the unlamented and justifiably reviled Jimmy Carter.

Thank you, Mr. Sunshine! I sincerely hope you're wrong, and will rejoice when conservative pessimists like you are proven wrong. Tally-ho! -- RR

So what makes his sources any less credible than yours? Just because they come from a left leaning source doesn't make them any less credible - especially if you're then taking from right wing sources.

The problem with people like you bitch about bias in sources is you ignore the bias when it favours your point of view.

Just because something doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't mean it's biased - a lesson certain conservatives seem incapable of comprehending.

This thread needs another Mel B stimulus package.

Christ, thank God you're not an English teacher.

But don't you have to know it to teach anything at all?

I also didn't know Jim Lehrer and an independent study were "leftist" sources. He claims that everyone is just quoting liberal rhetoric but his entire argument seems to boil down to "you're wrong because you're just saying liberal rhetoric" which means nothing at all.

I'm wondering why if the Bush stimulus plan 6 months ago did little or nothing to stop or lessen the recession then why do people think a bigger stimulus plan now will do any good?

Personally, I think the government should tighten down and stop increasing domestic spending if at all possible.

The only spending increases should be reserved for the military.

Because it's bigger.

It's a good thing you do not determine our budget then.
