No sequel to Tron Legacy.

^ Huh? He flat-oud said the ISOs came from some other, unknown realm that he had nothing to do with, and IIRC he had no idea why they first appeared in his Grid and not our physical reality.
Whether it was a glitch or not, they're still just programs that magically got new bodies and were slightly different from all the other programs running around. All of whim, presumably, would be able to get magical new bodies if they used the same method to leave.

A little bit of me died when I heard the news. I have always loved Tron ever since I saw it in the theater way back when. I loved Legacy and was really looking forward to a bookend on the story. All of the teases and side stories that came along with it set everything up so nicely.

Honestly, I have no doubt that somewhere down the line, a third movie or maybe even a TV show will be conceived. The popularity and fan base is there for it to succeed.

However, unless it's in the not too distant future, there will have to be all manner of re-castings and re-tooling of the storyline, which I find really disappointing.

Although I was aware of it, I hadn't ever watched Tron until a year or so before Legacy came out.

I didn't like it much, so I was pretty surprised when I loved Legacy.

Maybe they could license the franchise ?

I don't want to be that guy, but I'm happy they aren't continuing it.

They original Tron is one of my favorite movies of all time. Legacy took the look of it but completely left the theme and specialness out in exchange for updated effects.
The thing that made Tron so special is that these little characters running around were actually programs. Legacy totally threw that away. I thought Wreck-It Ralph was a much better story in the vein of Tron, that the little characters on the screen actually had a life outside of what we see.

WTF would programs wear such ridiculous shoes, or why would it rain storm in a computer, why would they need to have dinner? I was very disappointed when I saw Legacy.

I just thought of something: Maybe Quorra doesn't need to "use the facilities" after all...

I mean, Sam bled red human blood even when he was in the computer world (that's how Rinzler knew he was a User), so apparently one's basic bodily functions are the same, whichever world you find yourself in. Thus Quorra, in the real world, might look like she has a human body but in reality she keeps the advantages of her "computer self" - meaning she doesn't need to eat or sleep or relieve herself or anything like that.

So Sam's out of luck for boinking her. :o
