No sequel to Tron Legacy.

It had some flaws, but I really really loved Tron Legacy and I was dying for a sequel. My favorite soundtrack of the past decade.

Yeah, I'd heard about this:(.

I'd have liked a sequel as I enjoyed it and ended up getting this (and the original) as soon as it came out.

I'd have to rewatch it to say for sure at this point, but IIRC I found the effects and all impressive, but the film overall a bit...well, boring.

I'm disappointed, but content because on its own, Tron: Legacy is a great film with incredible score.

Honestly, I'm more bummed out that Tron: Uprising never got the attention it deserved and was quickly cancelled.

I loved both of the Tron films, and I definitely wanted a resolution to the plot threads left hanging by Legacy (specifically, Dillinger Jr.'s machinations - in cahoots with his father of course - and Alan Bradley's attempts to reform ENCOM).

But we got a couple of great films out of the process, and I can live with that. :techman:

What I still don't get is that arcade. Who kept the power on for 20 years, who paid for it and 20 years. Just how big was the storage and processor of that computer in the basement? That thing held the grid? I didn't buy it fully.

Well, Flynn likely owned it and paid the bills or tied it together with his companies power and had it all paid up. As in, the Arcade's power was tied directly to the company, meaning it would keep running as long as the company kept running. And, Flynn would rely on Bradley to ensure that.

Also, really saddened by this news.

agreed. such a great show. it was shifted to a dead timeslot and quietly left to die.

I have one question about Tron: What happened to Lora (Alan's wife) in between the first and second films? I seem to remember reading that she had died but there was nothing about her in Legacy.

(I haven't played any of the games so if there's anything in them about her, I don't know it.)

And Quorra is now in the real world as a flesh and blood girl, but where did she get the schmexy outfit we see at the end of the movie?

This is Disney right? you think with all the money they have they might gamble a 3rd movie.

Disney is the reason they won't bother making a third one. They have Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and Disney Animation. Four different guaranteed hit franchises. Why should they take a financial risk on an under-performing fifth one?
