No Ordinary Family: Season 1 on ABC - Discussion & Spoilers

Well the next episode is being called the Season finale and not Series so dose that mean there's still a chance it'll get a second season?

You know, considering Heroes was to have a new cast of characters to follow each season, this show could easily be season 2 of Heroes. In fact, I don't think they have actually contradicted anything that occurred in Heroes, so you really could just call this a continuation of the show.

It just means the decision won't be made until May at the latest.

NOF and V both aired on Tuesdays and V ended up with higher 18-49 ratings than NOF, and V had one of the highest 18-49Male ratings for the network. If either one is coming back, it's V.

But my money is on neither.

I'm really disappointed the show is being cancelled. Despite a bunch of the people around here thought, the show was slowly building into a real superhero adventure. I guess Ritalin and other ADD medications are a requirement for a lot of genre fans or something. I mean, they didn't jump into tights after the first ten minutes of gaining their powers. Oh dear oh dear.

I would have really liked to have seen where they were going to go with everything.

That's kind of where I ended up being on this show. At first I watched it probably out of curiousity and because of Chiklis. Over time, particularily these last few weeks, it really grew on me.

My fear now is that it's going to end on a cliffhanger/unresolved story line. I just don't see how they can wrap up everything in one hour.

The mysterious Mrs. X kidnaps J.J. for his super brain while George is imprisoned on a doomed plane. Meanwhile, the Watcher and Katie reunite.

AKA No Ordinary Cancellation. This is the end of the road for this show that started bumpy, took things way too slow and never attempted to do very much.

Well those dirty no good sons of bitches. A cliffhanger ending for a show that is guaranteed to be cancelled. Thanks a lot assholes.

Who's Conrad?

George got the power of super strength, super speed, super intelligence and the ability to read and control minds, thus making season two a go-ahead without any of the Powells. :)

Wow, they really went all in for that final episode! That was jammed packed.

I'm suffering Seventh Heaven Whiplash. He went from being an evil bastard, to an evil bastard's scared toady, to a dying cancer victim, to a good guy turncoat, to a stalker evil bastard with super powers. Yowza!

In the end I thought it was a cute show. I'll miss it.

Did it end on a cliffhanger or open ended? I stopped pre mid seasion watching it (due to not enough time mostly).

It ended on a cliffhanger:

Xena, Warrior Executive learned the secret of making permenant super-powers. She crashed a plane with 80 criminals on board, including the husband's cop buddy, and they all got super powers.

Yep, good episode. bad series ending.

I'm thankful that they at least wrapped up Stephen Collin's story. But it would have been so easy to have wrapped up the whole thing by them intercepting Lucy Lawless before she got away. But oh no, we can't do that, gotta leave the viewers hanging on a story that doesn't have an ending.

The thing is, I kind of liked the final scenes and can see some potential in the story they are trying to setup (even if it's not terribly original.)

It felt like the end of the prologue. The set up is completed for the rest of the story, which is catching the 80 villains and Ms. X.

I have seen enough of the story, and don't need any more.

R.I.P. No Ordinary Family.
