No Ordinary Family: Season 1 on ABC - Discussion & Spoilers

^ It'll be moved to premium cable next season where Michael Chiklis can rip the limbs off of bad guys and Julie Benz can run around naked. :p

It's a fine show.

People around here just wanted it to be something it never even tried to be. So boohoo. It's not what you wanted. Get over it.

Yeah, taking themselves too seriously is what did in "Heroes". NOH deciding to take a friendly, not as dark approach (despite killing a few folks pretty nastily) is refreshing.

Yeah, Michael and Julie look like they are having fun with their roles. I like that, and I really like seeing them on TV again. The kids are enjoyable to watch, too.

Jim feels guilty after his actions inadvertently injure a bystander. The Watcher proposes to Katie, Chris steals the trilsettum serum and injects it into his crippled father, and Mr. Litchfield forces JJ to join the academic decathlon team.

Hybridize the shows.

Just when all seems lost and Anna is proforming her dance of joy because their rapecamop just got it's 1 billionth customer... The Powells start fighting back.

I'm really enjoying the show and applaud them for going relatively slow and letting the superhero aspects build over time. And it is most definitely building, despite what people around here seem to think.

I think the biggest problem people have is the show isn't what they wanted it to be, thus it's rubbish by default. Which is complete and total nonsense if you ask me.

It's a family show. It's not a hardcore sci-fi/superhero fantasy extravaganza. Once you get past that ignorant preconceived notion, it magically transforms into a really nice little show. But people around here can't seem to get past their own limitations like that.

Oh well. Their/your loss. :)

Are you going to post this every week? :rommie:

I wanted it to be a family show. I didn't want it to be a live-action comic book. So, there. :p

King's mysterious superior, Mrs. X, sends a super to seduce Jim and George with her ability to compel men to obey her. Meanwhile, Chris suspects that Daphne and her family have special abilities, and Stephanie has to compromise her principles to maintain her cover as a loyal worker for Dr. King.

to the season finale .

Hmmm, Lucy in Black leather and a black limo... who has time to look at the death row guy?

"I don't take disappointment well."

I guess not. ;)

Bye bye Sophie.

Tricia Helfer's ability is the power to persuade men. Umm, she doesn't need a power for that!

It was wierd seeing Cylons together like that. But then Balfour was in the Buffy pilot and he was eaten by Darla in her tiny school girl uniform... If Decker kills little Kirk, then he'll keep Enterprise and get to face off against V'Ger by himself.

Were there any other couplings in this episode?
