Stephanie tries to determine why Jim has lost his powers; Katie gets a boyfriend; Mr. Litchfield catches JJ hacking into the school computer; and Daphne uses her powers to impress a boy.

Re: No Ordinary Family: "No Ordinary Accident" - Nov. 23 - Grade & Dis

I'm really glad Daphne fessed up to pretending to like all sorts of things she didn't actually have an opinion on. If they had tried to keep that going for another episode, it really would've stretched things, I think, beyond believability, and certainly beyond making Daphne a person that could be liked. The lipstick causing Jim's powers to be intermittent was amusing, and seemed rather fitting as an allergy explanation. Definitely enjoyed seeing JJ and Stephanie working together. Jim really needs to get better at keeping people from seeing his face when he's trying to fight crime. Speaking of fighting crime, I was also amused by JJ's (correct) insistence that Jim is breaking the law when he goes out, though I'm a little surprised JJ didn't also mention the vigilantism angle in general along with assault and battery.

Decent episode, liked the family starting to work together in the heroics department. Next week should be even better if the preview is to be believed.

But doesn't the evil boss already know about the Mom's powers? He set up that woman in Mexico to talk to her, and then talked to Mom later that night(could be an editing trick or something I guess), he has to know she is fast or has a private jet or something.

I don't think he knows for sure. He just suspects she may have powers.

JJ's teacher is such a douchebag. I wonder if he may suspect that JJ had something to do with his operation and pretended that he forgot about the hacking out of gratitude.

I know Katie's nerdy and a bit weird but I still don't buy her needing to find guys over the internet. She's too hot for that.

Re: No Ordinary Family: "No Ordinary Accident" - Nov. 23 - Grade & Dis

The teacher's bloodlust against JJ makes no sense, but this show likes to paint their characters with very broad, general strokes.

And Katie being hot but not being able to find a guy is a Hollywood convention -- women that look exactly like Jessica Biel, Allison Mack and Michelle Pfeiffer can't find a single decent guy? :p

The next episode has major potential. They're teaming up faster than on Heroes.

It doesn't help that the actor they hired to play the teacher looks mean and pissed off all the time.

Why Hollywood continues to use that old cliche is beyond me. That's so 1940's...

At least they fight crime on this show. Heroes rarely did that. For a show called Heroes they rarely did heroic things.
