I have high-ish hopes for that show but that clip makes me wonder. It's like "what if they did Heroes with just Matt Parkman and his family?" It doesn't have the same WOW factor as Heroes did when news and videos of it started leaking out.

Tate Donovan, terrific actor from Damages most recently. That spoiler might have been from me. I read it somewhere, can't recall where. And if he's destined to fill the character slot we think he is, let's hope that it's handled a lot better than Heroes did.

Even comparing it with The Incredibles doesn't fill me with a lot of hope. A TV series needs to have a whole lot more plot to it than a two-hour movie. There's potential there, but it's impossible to know if they'll ever tap into it.

All I know is I enjoyed Chiklis with Malco as his best friend.

Young Panabaker isn't as good as her older, much hotter sister Danielle. (Who played Super in Sky High)

But...

The biggest surprise from that trailer was remembering that Julie Benz can play smart and intelligent. I'd forgotten that after her last few years as 'Rita' on Dexter, and that side trip to Wisteria Lane.

I'm putting this on the list for Fall 2010.

I'm going to check this out. I like Julie Benz and Micheal Chiklis. I loved the bit in the trailer when his friend suggests he turn his garage into a lair and they high five

I feel Fantastic Four comparisons will be inevitable though.

I was thinking more the Bennet family if Noah his wife & Lyle had powers too. And Noah wasnt some shady agent.

I really hope they dont spend too much time on the high school stuff. But it does seem they might be going for a more family drama type show to try to be something other than a Heroes clone.

Nah I read it on some site that had descriptions for upcoming genre shows. I only know Donovan from brief role on Friends & being the voice of Hercules(Disney.)

Nope, I am a fan of this particular movie.

It's got some great heart to it... There was talk of a sequel, but I guess there isn't a University for Supers after all.

Kurt Russel as "The Commander" is so campy yet heartfelt at the same time.

Fun Film.
