no Laugh-in... Dick Martins dies at 86

one very fuunny and tralented guy, can he hend out "Flying FIckled Finger of Fate" awards in heaven?

RIP

;(

Was Dick Martin funny? You bet your sweet bippy he was! A fond farewell to a talented guy (who was also lucky enough to marry one of the great Playmates of all time).

The cocktail party in the afterlife just got a whole lot wilder...

I've been wondering if Laugh-In is available on DVD. I may have been about 5 when the show first debuted, but it was pure fun. Light years ahead of 90% of the dreck that has been on TV the past 20 years.

There are two dvd sets that I know of that contain about six episodes or so each from the early seasons--including the series pilot. Unfortunately, there are no full season releases that I am aware of. Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that more than a few episodes are gone now.

I didn't know he was still alive but he lived a full life. All I know about Dick Martin is from the past through reruns and old movies, his work was never a contemporary of mine, but he seemed like a nice guy. I hope he was as easy-going in real life as his goofy onscreen persona. RIP

I loooved Laugh-In when I was a kid, I'm pretty sure it was a major influence on my sense of humor. Very sad.

Say Goodnight Dick.

Rowan and Martin together again. Wish they were here, instead.

Also, a great TV director who directed a number of classic Bob Newhart episodes.

Hopefully, he'll be on some of the Match Game episodes on GSN this weekend.

I grew up watching Laugh-In. Usually from the hallway when my parents thought I was in bed. Dick Martin was a favorite.
