No Chris Pine Announcement Yet.... Maybe because....

maybe this is a bigger announcement than we thought.
Since Quinto was introduced to the world as Spock along aside Leonard Nimoy, maybe the introduction of Pine as Kirk will be with......William Shatner, playing older Kirk!

Maybe it was like this from the beginning and they just were good secret keepers, or maybe the second draft fixed the problem (of no older Kirk)!

I'd be more likely to bet a quite positive (but slightly sarcastic in the Shatner way) response will come from Shatner when he's asked about the casting choice.
Probably some smart remark about how Pine is either too handsome or not handsome enough ("I looked like that?"). Then at the end he'll get the official okie-dokie, as in, "I think he'll pull it off."
