And here I thought the producer Steinberg and Bear McCreary did a great job writing the show and making (TV's biggest) live-composed soundtrack!

Why did FOX fire them? I don't like the changes that the new guy in charge, matt miller, are bringing to season 2:

Two new female characters (for the sake of having females?), destruction of the old office set, and inclusion of pop songs?

I like Tim Jones' soundtrack on Chuck, but his synthesized (less expensive) music will undoubtedly pale in comparison to mccreary's 60-piece live orchestra.

This news makes watching this video of Mccreary's last recording session for the season 1 finale a bit sad:

No mythology? Then it'll have to survive as a generic action show. Too bad, really. Sounds like the guy is saying hey, it's Friday night, turn off your brain and watch brainless action and romance without having to puzzle out the back story.

Ah well, I'll still give it a try...

It's not like there was a whole lot of mythology last season. No big deal really. I don't get the need to add new characters though. The show was fine with just the three leads.
